By now, I'm sure you have used Microsoft Office at some point or the other. Though most of us like the ease with which we can use the products, there are still some who think it needs some improvements for better usability.

Well, Microsoft heard these feedback and comments, and this is why it has come up with a host of new and improved features in its Microsoft Office Home and Student 2016.

Let's take a look at some of the features it added.

Intelligent Services

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is steadily becoming an integral part of our lives. Almost every company is looking to make the most of AI to offer superior user experience for its clients, and Microsoft is no different.

Office home and student 2016 gives you a glimpse into how AI can be integrated into your office suite. For example, the grammar settings recognises the context of your words, and gives the right spelling and grammar suggestions. While the earlier versions had this feature, it is definitely more advanced and accurate than ever before. This can be particularly useful if you have to type out large documents or make frequent presentations.

Remove picture background

One of the common complaints that many people had was that Office was not friendly for working with images. Well, you'll be surprised at what MS office 2016 home & student can do in this regard.

You now have the option to make any picture standout in your document as you can remove the background with a free-form drawing tool. This way, you can accent or highlight the subject matter of a picture by removing the unnecessary details that can distract viewers from the main image.

Improved navigation

Personally, I love Word, But the one thing that irks me is the fact that I have to scroll down through each page to read my content. Let's say, I want to compare my introduction and conclusion paragraphs. Scrolling up and down through the document can be painful, to say the least.

But with Microsoft Office 2016 student, that pain is gone. I can simply flip through pages by sliding them from side to side. This is typically like how I would slide stacks of paper. The best part is you can even flip through the pages with your finger if you have a touch screen. The experience will be similar to books, and can save us a lot of time, especially if you're used to writing long pieces of content.

To set this, go to the View tab. Open the "Page Movement" group and select on "Side to side" option. That's it. You're all set to enjoy the simple page viewing option.
